2019 Conference: Reiki – Weaving Heart, Soul and Spirit into Fields of Grace

From: 2019-05-22 To: 2019-05-29
Open To: Members Only!

Location: Hothorpe Hall, Leicester, England , United Kingdom, Europe

It is our great pleasure to invite you to join us in the United Kingdom (UK) for the 2019 Reiki Alliance Conference.

A Reiki Alliance Conference in the UK has been the dream and vision of several UK Masters over the years and one of these was Jane Raworth, who passed in 2017. Jane was so happy to hear the news that the dream would come true in 2019 and that we would be inviting you to our gorgeous country. Our gratitude to Jane and also to Kristin Bonney, for holding the vision over the years.

From the very beginning of this journey, as a team, we have shared an appreciation of our Celtic heritage, of nature, and of unity. These shared ideals have carried us along.

Travelling around the world, we noticed that people speak of England as the United Kingdom, often unaware that the United Kingdom of Great Britain is 4 nations – England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Eire, the Republic of Ireland is our close neighbour, and is the land of many of our ancestors. This is our opportunity to represent our Celtic nations and the heritage we share.

We share cultures rich in art, music and storytelling and there is sure to be music and dancing during our week together. We share a passion for history and connection to the natural world. We share ancient roots and legends. We respect our differences and honour our Unity.

Our shared gifts create connection to each other; nations together, creating our United Kingdom.

Through these gifts, we acknowledged the wish for our Alliance community to experience Unity, Wholeness and Connection, whilst being held in the gentleness of Reiki. Our theme was born:

“Reiki. Weaving Heart, Soul and Spirit into fields of Grace”

Where and when?

We will start with dinner at 6.30 pm on 22nd May followed by the Opening Ceremony.
The Closing Ceremony will be on Tuesday evening 28th May. Conference will close after breakfast on Wednesday 29th May.

Details of rooms and costings will be available on the registration pages of the website.

The venue of Hothorpe Hall, in Leicestershire, is a house and grounds with a history that goes back to 900AD. Take a look at www.hothorpehall.co.uk

Hothorpe has previously hosted Reiki gatherings for the UK Reiki community and offers a warm and caring environment surrounded by a typical English landscape of fields, trees and villages.

The small market town of Market Harborough is only a few miles away and worth a visit.

We trust you will enjoy this part of the country.

The Weather:

May is spring time with an average temperature of 13°C but can be a bit warmer. Expect spring flowers and sunshine.

We plan to offer several excursions locally with options to be in Nature or visit local history in an interesting market town during a national holiday weekend.

We hope to keep excursion coach journeys to less than an hour of travelling, allowing more time to experience the destinations. The excursion places and their links are below.

Trip 1: Warwick http://visitwarwick.co.uk/
Historic city, an impressive castle, beautiful parks and gardens, and a variety of independent shops and restaurants. Our trip will include a guided walking tour of the town, suitable for all walking abilities, with free time to shop and enjoy the Food Festival which will be taking place on the day.

Trip 2: Deene Park http://deenepark.com/
Situated in stunning countryside, this beautiful Tudor and Georgian mansion has been lived in by the Brudenell family since 1514. We will visit the main rooms of the house, have cream tea in The Old Kitchen Tea Room, and visit the garden.

Trip 3: Foxton Locks http://www.foxton-locks.co.uk
Over 200 years old, this unique waterway has the longest set of staircase locks in Britain. The surrounding footpaths and towpaths are ideal walking for all abilities and there is a variety of refreshment facilities. If the weather is fine, it may be possible to take a boat trip along the river at the bottom of the locks. The Boiler House Museum contains many fascinating exhibits. Entry to the museum is included in our trip.
